As a child, I grew up through what today could today be considered the “dark ages” of dental care. There is a good reason that people dreaded going to the dentist. Having been a patient of Dr. Darel Moss for more than a quarter century, all those memories of getting dragged to the dentist are happily erased. During my many visits to Dr. Moss, I have never felt even a small bit of discomfort. Not only is he highly skilled in providing quality dental care, but he and his staff are equally focused in offering clear instruction in preventative home care. Of critical note is the fact he will carefully explain his treatment plan and never perform unnecessary dentistry. Dr. Moss also has great skill in carrying on interesting, sometimes humorous, conversation without the expectation that you will be able to necessarily respond, since he is busily working his craft. Everyone leaves feeling as though they have visited with a friend. I think that is an important part of why I have happily recommended him to many of my friends, who have become his longtime patients as well.

I am honored and privileged to be one of Dr. Moss’ patients. His entire team – from his staff to the lovely hygienists and the doctor himself – are just outstanding. I found Dr. Moss on recommendation from a colleague after a dentist terribly hurt me and was too rough. At this point, I probably need a root canal though I’m looking to see a specialist highly-recommended by Dr. Moss to help me with the many problems. Dr. Moss is kind and understanding and extremely gentle, especially given that I am very sensitive to dental pain. Even when I’ve had problems and had to call to speak to Dr. Moss, one of his wonderful receptionists, Camilla, puts me right through to him; Dr. Moss then takes the time to speak with me and to understand the *root* of the issue. What a gem! I also think the hygienist Marisete is an angel. She is so conscientious and takes her time cleaning with my teeth. For the first time in my life, going to the dentist is a true pleasure! I have been a patient of Dr. Moss for a few years after listening to great reviews from a friend. I needed some work and had been quoted outrageous amounts of money after my insurance by two other dentists. I spoke for over an hour with Dr. Moss after my examination and discussed several ways to handle my treatment. We settled on a comfortable and affordable course over three years to bring my mouth back into reasonable shape. He was the height of professionalism at all times and above all was compassionate…..and listened to me. I would highly recommend him to anyone I know needing dental care. He really is great, and the rest of the office staff are knowledgeable, friendly and easy to deal with.

Dr. Darel Moss and his staff are at the top of professionalism in the dental industry. I had my problem evaluated, diagnosed, a treatment plan for all teeth, and a wisdom tooth pulled out absolutely painlessly all in the same day. By that night the anesthesia had worn off and the gum bleeding stopped and I had no pain. When I was a young boy I was so scared and afraid of the dentist and experienced so much pain getting gas and a tooth pulled I never went back and still have a baby tooth impacted in my lower gums. Dr. Moss is at the top of his field and there simply is no one else I will let work on my teeth. He is the Tom Brady of dentistry and should receive the dental award super bowl rings for his team. Thank you. This is the truth and not a bunch of hype. Check him out seriously, He is the best!

I required extensive work at the interface between my gums and my teeth, particularly for the rear teeth, upper and lower and on both sides. I was very impressed with my treatment by Eva, who was careful, complete, and, most importantly, responsive to any questions, to any discomfort, and to gestures I made during the procedures. I was very well cared for, and I am very impressed with her competence. My positive evaluation also applies to the procedures, both on-line and by phone, for confirming and scheduling. Personal interactions were consistently friendly and useful (and flexible). I recommend this practice.

A patient of Dr. Moss for multiple decades, I recently went for my semi-annual cleaning and checkup. The dental practice is located in a classic brick building and offices are on two floors. Whitewashed woodwork and wainscotting enhance the common rooms and stairway, which also feature a changing array of mostly local artwork. High ceilings and plenty of natural and artificial light round out the features that make this a very pleasant physical place. As always, the well-experienced hygeinist who did my cleaning began right on time. As she was near to the conclusion of her typically precise and thorough work, I casually mentioned that I’d been noticing some discomfort in my jaw. After a few clarifying questions and checking of my records and xrays, she brought this to the attention of Dr. Moss, who came over to follow up. He inspected and probed and questioned, then requested further xrays. When nothing alarming turned up, he proceeded to lay out what he felt were my options for responding to this issue. The options were benign ways to diminish the pain that I could try out. What impressed me about this simple visit was how quick and earnest the responses of both the hygeinist and Dr. Moss were to my relatively offhanded complaint. I felt valued and well cared for. I think this diligence and respect are hallmarks of Moss’s practice. These traits complement his experience, up-to-date technical skills, fine hands, and creative treatment approach; altogether, they account for the long success and large patient base of this practice. I am grateful to have such competent and caring professionals overseeing my oral health.
