Dr. Soo-Woo Kim Rebuilds Smiles With His Expertise

Dr. Soo-Woo Kim is a board-certified periodontist. He holds lecturer positions at Harvard School of Dental Medicine and Tufts School of Dental Medicine and previously served as program director of pre-doctoral periodontology at Harvard School of Dental Medicine.

He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Harvard School of Dental Medicine and completed his periodontology training and Doctor of Medical Science (DMSc) in oral biology from the same institution. He also has a Master of Science in bioengineering from the University of California-Los Angeles.

Dr. Kim is a recipient of the Outstanding Young Mentors Award and Dean’s Community Service Award from Harvard Medical School. He was selected as a presidential scholar by Harvard University and is a past recipient of the AAP Educator Award from the American Academy of Periodontology and the Young Investigator Award from the International Association of Dental Research.

A diplomate of the American Academy of Periodontology, Dr. Kim provides a wide range of periodontal procedures, from classical to contemporary treatments. They include dental implants (All-on-4 and All-on-6 full-arch restoration and computer-guided surgery), hard- and soft-tissue grafting with regenerative materials, and much more.

Dr. Kim has been active in community outreach projects in Nicaragua, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, and Haiti. He built a fully functional dental clinic for short-term mission trips in Haiti and is involved in implementing a mobile clinic concept in rural parts of that country.
